Form Us With Love is an international design studio founded in Stockholm in 2005. Working across strategy, product design and innovation, the studio combines creative practice with a strategic, human-centred approach to solve complex problems and create meaningful change for people, the planet and businesses. Its work focuses on understanding industry and culture, identifying new opportunities and developing high-quality, sustainable solutions with long-term impact. In 2020, Form Us With Love was named among the top five in Fast Company’s annual list of the World’s Most Innovative Design Companies.

ABOUT THE PROJECT

Form Us With Love transformed its Stockholm studio into Testing Grounds – SHOWROOM? – a four-month showroom opening during what would traditionally be Stockholm Design Week and continuing as an open display and gathering place. Created with BAUX, BYBORRE, Forming Function, Savo, String Furniture and Tarkett, the space presented products, materials and prototypes within a living environment rather than a static exhibition.

studio playground joined as an editorial partner, using Testing Grounds as a live case study to explore a wider question: What is the design meeting place of the future – beyond design weeks and static showrooms? The studio’s role spanned research, programme development, panel moderation and publishing.

• “What Will Make People Gather in the Future?”

The programme examined discovery, decision-making and new ways of meeting across the creative industries. The discussions were moderated by studio playground’s founder, strategist and publisher, Auste Skrupskyte Cullbrand.

The collaboration also extended into Playground Magazine Issue 5 through a dedicated conversation with Form Us With Love, connecting insights from the live project with a wider international audience.
